DIVISION DESCRIPTION:


As part of the Origination and Financing team for private ABS transactions, the associate will contribute to the origination, structuring and execution of asset-backed transactions with SG clients.

The mission of the securitization lending business is to be a strategic financing solution for SG clients which builds upon client relationships profitably and allows for the cross-sell of other SG products, primarily ABS underwriting roles and Interest Rate Derivatives.

The team handles a broad spectrum of asset classes including:
auto loans and leases, consumer loans, solar loans and C-PACE, among others. Working on diverse asset types makes the position a great learning opportunity.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist other team members in developing marketing materials
  • Performing quantitative/data and qualitative due diligence
  • Performing analysis and stress tests for transactions
  • Undertaking industry, client or asset specific research and assisting in special projects.
  • Complying with internal and regulatory processes (KYC, audits, )
  • Regular monitoring of existing transactions

Profile required:


  • BA or BS degree required; concentration in Economics, Finance, Business, Math, or Computer Science is preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and work across the firm to ensure product is delivered to client
  • Capacity to understand complex financial structures and familiarity with credit and related legal documentation
  • Solid knowledge of financial markets, securitization and structured products would be helpful
  • Organization and rigor

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
