Promote meaningful engagement in treatment and long-term recovery by modeling, educating, advocating, and encouraging those seeking sobriety during inpatient treatment.

Ensure adherence to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


_ Peer-Based Recovery Support:
_


  • Offer recovery support, coaching, and encouragement.
  • Build rapport through relationship building and active listening.
  • Assist in developing communitysupported recovery plans.

_Administrative Support:
_


  • Collaborate with CRS, clinical, and medical staff.
  • Document recovery progress in EMR.
  • Maintain patient closet inventory.

_Community Engagement:
_


  • Participate in patient leisure events and milieu activities.
  • Facilitate small group activities (goal setting, discharge planning).
  • Patient Escort and Assistance:_
  • Escort patients to internal and external appointments.
  • Coordinate transportation for offsite meetings.
  • Monitor and support patients during meals.

_Post-Discharge and Follow-Up:_

  • Conduct postdischarge callbacks to track recovery progress.

_Additional Responsibilities:
_


  • Attend deescalation calls and organize onsite activities.
  • Assist during doctor's rounds and take vital signs.
  • Support smoke breaks, isolation sessions, and transportation.
  • Implement the Buddy Program and document group sessions.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Understanding of addiction recovery principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in providing support to individuals in treatment.
  • Ability to educate on recovery, relapse prevention, and coping strategies.
  • Skill in modeling healthy behaviors and building therapeutic relationships.
  • Knowledge of cooccurring mental health disorders and traumainformed care.
  • Competence in facilitating group therapy sessions.
  • Adherence to hospital policies for quality assurance and safety.

Position Requirements:


  • Education:_ High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:_ One year in addiction treatment or mental healthcare preferred.
