SEKISUI KYDEX is looking to add an Automation Technology Engineer to the Automation Team at our Holland, MI campus.

What is SEKISUI KYDEX?

"Sekisui" (sek-eh-sue-ee) is an expression for "pent-up water" from The Art of War, an ancient Chinese book written in the 4th century BC by Sun Tzu. "The battle of the victor is determined in a fell swoop with tremendous force, just as a pent-up water (or sekisui), let drop into a deep gorge."

What you will be doing:

The Automation Technology Engineer is primarily responsible for executing activities pertaining to continuous process improvement in safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction and yield using controls and automation. As a team member, you will perform all tasks in compliance with company safety rules as well as all IT/OT policies and procedures, and prioritize the success of all company team members and our customers.

What you need to know:

• A problem-solving mentality is required to see what others may not and provide quick and effective solutions to manufacturing issues.

• A wide range of knowledge related to industrial controls such as PLCs, HMIs, drives, and networking is essential, and familiarity with mechanical processes such as power transmission, hydraulics, and pneumatics is ideal.

• Good management techniques for projects of all sizes are necessary for the continued success of our department.

• The ability to articulate ideas to our teammates, who are not subject matter experts in automation, through dialog and written presentations is vital to conveying how we can assist our customers (internal and external) in the short and long term.
