ORGANIZATION


The mission of Ravenswood Family Health Network (RFHN) is to improve the health of the community by providing culturally sensitive, integrated primary and preventative health care to all, regardless of ability to pay or immigration status, and collaborating with community partners to address the social determinants of health.

***This position has overall responsibility for several critical human resources functions including recruiting, compensation, benefits, workers' compensation, employee relations, training, diversity, employee engagement, and employee records. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance. Provides internal support and partnership to deliver required human resources. Maintain vendor relationships that provide supplemental HR processes and services. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.


This position has overall responsibility for a wide range of Human Resources Generalist I administrative duties including employee relations, training, health and safety, compliance with local policies and procedures, workers' compensation, compensation, and recruitment.

Additionally, the HR Generalist I interfaces with all levels of employees, including providers, volunteers, students, and Senior Management.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be performed in accordance with RFHN Policies and Procedures_
  • Provides administrative support for all phases of work force planning and employee movement, including new hires, transfers, and terminations.
  • Manages electronic filing and updates HR database as needed and when appropriate.
  • Creates, updates, and maintains employee files, processes various forms and requests, prepares reports and provides information to employees regarding established HR programs, policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with the Payroll department to ensure timely Personnel Action Forms are processed for biweekly payroll processing.
  • Assists in benefit communications by answering employee questions and directing employees to the appropriate sources. Also assists with other periodic communications.
  • Acts as administration support in all areas of HR including benefit enrollment, change requests for health, vision and dental insurance, retirement plans, COBRA continuation, workers' compensation, and unemployment.
  • Responds to employee's benefit questions; assists with resolution of problems regarding access to or filing for State benefits.
  • Supports HR Management in responding to initial leave of absence (LOA) inquiries from staff.
  • Researches compliance with regulatory agency requirements and provides input to HR Director and HR Manager.
  • Ensures human resources policies, procedures and programs are being met, and makes recommendations for improvement when needed.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR programs to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Participates on special projects as requested by HR Director and HR Manager.
  • Identifies and leads continuous improvement projects.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

General Agency Duties

  • Fosters an environment that promotes trust and cooperation among patients and staff; maintains strictest confidentiality concerning all patient and employee information.
  • Promotes and exemplifies in action, the mission, goals, policies, procedures and principles of RFHN to patients and other clinic staff.
  • Attends RFHN staff retreats and staff meetings as requested by supervisors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of COVID19 vaccine series and booster required.

One to two years of HR administrative experience or related experience.

  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations, recruitment techniques and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Experience using PayCom highly desirable.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

Salary range is $66,560 - $83,200 annually, commen
