- Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) in an enterprise IT environment with a focus on Windows Image build, migration, and maintenance experience (MDT, Task Sequences etc.)
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft security patching, deployments, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of Windows OS and task sequences.
- Software packaging and scripting with Batch / VBS / PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of the system development and infrastructure lifecycle and architecture, best practices, IT Service Management, and systems design in Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 systems, Office 365, Group Policy, Networking, and Security.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory.
- Industry certifications (such as A+ or N+, MCSA / MCSE, ITIL).
- Experience with implementing and maintaining McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) or similar endpoint protection solution.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining Code42 CrashPlan or equivalent enterprise-level endpoint backup and restore solution.
- Familiarity with federal security standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning products such as Tenable Nessus

Job Summary
As a Desktop Engineer, you will be part of a team of IT professionals who provide in-house technical hardware and software support and expertise for over 1600 Microsoft Windows laptops & desktops.
This role will be the key contact for all level 3 escalations, working closely with the Service Desk, Desktop Services, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Application Developer teams for complex end-user issues and project work.
*Experience providing Tier 3 pc support and working in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) are required
Provide Level 3 support, diagnosing and resolving general hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners and other computer peripherals and multi-function devices.
Responsible for deployment of applications and software updates
Creating and deploying applications with user device affinity, compliance settings, Software Center and task sequencing.
Monitoring updates via Automatic Deployment Rules (ADR), Update Groups, Deployment packages, third party patches using a third-party catalog (e.g., Patch My PC, Patch Connect Plus, etc.) and others.
Reporting on the success or failure of Application Deployment.Deploy Client Management agents.
Manage clients using Group Policy, WSUS, logon scripts, Client Push.
Configuring Power Management Rules
Troubleshoot client health.
Design, Build, and Maintain Windows Desktop Operating systems, SCCM packages and SCCM patching.
Create, implement, and deploy images for enterprise workstations utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)/Windows Deployment Services (WDS)/ Windows Pre-installation Environment (WinPE) /Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK), Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE) as well as Task Sequences and PowerShell skill.
Create and maintain Images (drivers, core apps, client customizations) and Group Policy Objects (GPO), Local Policy Objects (LPO) and their impact on system configuration, anti-virus policies, knowledge of the Pre-boot Execution Environment (PXE) and WinPE.
Serve as an internal subject matter expert, consultant and analyst to ensure high stakeholder satisfaction.May perform other duties, as assigned, within the nature and level of the job
