Manufacturing Production Manager
The Production Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, productivity for high speed, high volume manufacturing department.

This includes organizing and directing departmental activities on the assigned shift, including providing leadership, direction and facilitation of production line teams, and coordination among, maintenance, quality and materials to achieve operational goals.


Shift and Schedule:
This is a full time position working Day shift. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as necessary.

Position Responsibilities

  • Establish a proactive safety culture of zero incidents while promoting and ensuring the completion of safety trainings and programs.
  • Direct all departmental related activities to ensure the timely execution of the production schedule to meet production and service goals through day to day execution.
  • Manage departmental quality requirements ensure food safety and product quality.
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments are implemented and the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements. Develop a plan to progress the TPM program based on the KDP playbook
  • Determines optimum staffing model for the line operations. Provide effective cross training and development for a flexible workforce.
  • Promote team engagement and morale adhering to KDP values. Ability to generate enthusiasm, commitment and performance from others in the quest to develop high performance teams.
  • Have a track record of successful continuous improvement initiatives and results, with a focus upon lean manufacturing and 5S. Lead and support Focused Improvement events to ensure expected OEE is met/exceeded.
  • Well organized, high energy, data driven, and results oriented.
Metrics to manage

  • Safety: Recordable Rate, FA, Near miss, Training completion %
  • Quality: Yield %; # of Quality holds
  • Delivery: Completion of schedule
  • Productivity: Cases/Labor Hour, OEE

Requirements:


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree, A technical degree (Engineering/technology) preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a management/supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with lean, kaizen/six sigma events and driving lean transformation with proven results and in a manufacturing environment (5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, visual management, and leading Kaizen events)
  • Computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to understand basic statistics
  • Demonstrated work experience of team building and development
  • Selfstarter, able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to handle multiple and conflicting priorities.

Total Rewards:
- $91,300.00k - $167,790.00k/yr. Placement within the salary range will depend on years of experience, skill set, etc.
