GENERAL FUNCTION

Under the direction and supervision of the Youth and Family Life Director, the Activity Leader I will be responsible for teaching Infant, Toddler, Preschool, School Age and/or Adult Enrichment Classes.

KNOW HOW

Minimum 18 years old and a high school diploma, or its equivalent, is required.
Experience working with children/adults preferred.
Knowledge of children ages 211 and an understanding of their needs and development.
Must have experience in handling conflict situations with parents and children.
Must be capable of establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, parents, program participants, and with the general public.
Must be able to work as a team member and possess the core values that meet the YMCA mission.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family and YMCA staff.
Maintain current certifications in CPR Heartsaver, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 6090 days of employment.
