- Conduct Immune assays to analyze samples for cellular immune responses by flow-based analysis (including ICS and tetramer staining) and ELISpot assays
- Process samples and perform the following procedures: separate and isolate various sample components including peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), sera and plasma
- Monitor, maintain, and operate Core laboratory equipment located in CLS-1026/1028, which includes: refrigerators, freezers, centrifuges, incubators, and biosafety cabinets.
- Maintain study Batch Records including Sample Receipt
- Perform QC testing of critical reagents and assays.

General NHP Core Laboratory Personnel Responsibilities:

o Conducts a variety of validated and routine experiments in support of the Nonhuman Primate Core Laboratory.
Maintains records for assays conducted, for usage and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and for preparation and storage of common reagents.

Records test results, calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using basic statistics.Job Description:
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The Immune Assay Laboratory Core Staff Team of researchers is properly trained, certified, and responsible for the following tasks:
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs routine and non-routine laboratory tests which may include DNA sequencing, gene cloning, in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, northern blotting; synthesizes and interprets results.
Using analytical abilities and sound judgment, makes decisions regarding the reliability and accuracy of results, repeating procedures when necessary.
May assist with planning specific research procedures and coordinating schedules of tests and procedures
May prepare written and/or verbal reports on status of research and the technical procedures used, including statistical and graphic summaries of findings and possible conclusions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related scientific field required.
0-1 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
