The Virtual Genome Center (VIGOR - ) seeks a clinical research assistant to help with day to day operations of the study. The RA in this position will work on a team to ensure this multi-institutional research endeavor moves forward smoothly in achieving its goals.

Responsibilities of the position include:

Regular communication with site coordinators at the collaborating research sites
Direct participant contact to arrange and execute consent sessions for participation
Ensuring that testing is appropriately and accurately ordered
Tracking of all labs and survey forms
Data entry and basic analysis
Participation in weekly and monthly team meetings
Support of the PIs involved in the study
Tracking and storage of research documents
Conduct qualitative interviews with Spanish and English speaking families
Interact with Spanish speaking subjects regarding recruitment and follow-up procedures

To qualify, you must have:

BA/BS or equivalent in a science field with exposure/interest in genetics
Conversational fluency in Spanish required
Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex.
Well-developed communication skills in order to provide critical information to patients, effectively deal with conflicting views or issues, and the ability to mediate fair solutions.
Advanced writing skills.
