Description
1) Traveler residency must be North Shore, MA.2) Provides Phlebotomist services for Nursing Homes and House Calls.
3) Maintain established department policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
4) Process a variety of specimens in accordance with established protocols. Data entry into both the hospital and laboratory information systems. Monitor requests for laboratory testing that have not been processed through the laboratory information system.
5) Ensure that all outstanding orders are accounted for and that any missing specimens are found. Document the receipt of specimens in the laboratory information system.
6) Perform quality assurance checks on outpatient requisitions to ensure the correctness of data entry.
7) Sort and file requisitions in the appropriate location according to established protocols. Pull all out-patient requisitions that require follow-up with the physician offices. Obtain blood specimens for private outpatients.
8) Understand through yearly competencies, all aspects of phlebotomy including, age specific competencies, the specific procedures needed for pediatric patients (if applicable).
10) Must have Valid Drivers License.
11) Must have an ACTIVE and Valid Phlebotomist License.

$ $37.00 per hour
