- Design and estimate tanks according to industry standards like ASME Section VIII, API 620, and API 650.
- Interpret and implement design specifications and standards such as ASME, ASTM, and ASCE.
- Utilize SolidWorks for creating detailed part models, assemblies, and drawings.
- Comprehend project requirements, plans, specifications, and codes to deliver precise submittals.
- Offer estimation services including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction-level estimates.
- Independently handle estimates, bid packages, and projects ranging from $25K to $10MM.
- Create and present customized proposals based on specific customer needs.
- Review subcontractor pricing from proposals to change orders for ongoing projects.
- Utilize and develop standard work instructions to enhance process efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (consideration given to those with relevant experience)
- 5+ years of experience in tank and/or structural design and fabrication
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD Mechanical
- Familiarity with ASTM/ASME/API standards, welding, and engineering practices
- Background in steel fabrication and estimating
- Experience in cost estimation
- Knowledge of structural fabrication, industrial construction contracts, and terminology
- Background as a Construction Manager or Project Manager is advantageous
- Preferred experience in corrosion and/or abrasion control
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentations)
