EBERL originated from a small building materials store founded by Franz Josef Eberl in Jagstheim in 1951, which was soon relocated to the nearby district town of Crailsheim. The current property on Gaildorfer Straße, where all four businesses are now located, gradually became the property of the Eberl family starting in 1973. The wholesale market for everyone GmbH, which now includes the areas of food, household and toy products, as well as textiles, was founded in 1977. This was followed in 1992 by the company EBERL Bau- und Heimwerkermarkt GmbH. And in 2018, EBERL Tanken und Waschen GmbH.

As a family-friendly company, Eberl has been known for several years for its diverse brand products, high freshness competence, and attractive price-performance ratio.
