Ed Director is responsible for maintaining a safe and positive culture in the center, supporting teachers in the development of the Montessori/Creative Curriculum, and building an environment where children, families and staff thrive.

They will have the responsibility of promoting the program through our social media outlets, by communicating with our marketing team, and supplying them with weekly content.

Above everything, the Assistant Director will uphold the Vision, Mission, Core Values and Circle of Care philosophy of Kinder Prep Childcare.


Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Opening the center at 7:30 AM. Ensuring morning drop off is smooth.
  • Assist in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Assist the Co
  • Center Director in operating and managing all aspects of the school, including staffing, marketing, parent relations, quality control and facility management.
- proactively resolve any parent questions or concerns in a professional and polite manner.

  • Oversea that the staff are maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
  • Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Meet the requirements of Article 47 school.
  • Familiarity with the Montessori method of education.
  • Provide daytoday leadership and management.
  • Ensure effective operation of center; maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards in accordance with all applicable with Article 47 licensing requirements, and company policies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, staff members, community contacts.
  • Interview, recruit, and retain staff members, training employees, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolve problems.
  • Maintain accurate financial accounting of the center operation and protect the company's monetary assets; develop cost estimates for future program needs.
  • Provide parents daily reports, with pictures for each student enrolled, through the Tadpoles communication App.
  • Conduct daily safety checks of overall facilities, including all equipment and company premises to ensure a safe environment.
  • Maintain, secure and update important and accurate administrative records for the center for all staff and children.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education.
  • NYS Teaching Certification
  • At least 2year of Director or Early Childhood Education Office Manager experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.

Education:


  • Bachelor's (required)
  • Masters Prefered
