    Our work depends on Systems Engineer joining our team to support the customer's mission of defending its networks and information against unauthorized access.

    HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTProvide Operations & Maintenance (O&M) on a standalone network used for cyber forensics.

    Provides and applies advanced engineering to highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools in a hybrid Windows and Linux environment.

    Performs maintenance and provides advanced solutions for continual and highly complex security, backup and redundancy problems.

    Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and proceduresMaintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.

    May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
    May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency.
    Drives scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructure.
    Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.


    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    Education:
    Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or other IT-related discipline
    Required Experience: 10+ yearsTechnical skills:Active Directory Ubuntu/RHEL LinuxCisco Routers/Switches (LAN network design or other experience desirable)

    Domain Name System (DNS)Intelligence Community (IC) PKI x.509 certificatesLAN NetworkingNetwork Attached Storage (NAS)VMWare installation and configuration (vSphere / ESXi)Virtual LANs (VLANs)Windows Server (2016 or later)PowerShell scriptingSoftware upgrades to GOTS and COTS software (including MS SQL Server)Location:

    S. Citizenship RequiredSalary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

    Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
