Description
The Student Assistant within Off Campus Life is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing educational programming on resources available within the surrounding Gainesville community and those living off campus
  • Compiling assessment data utilizing information to generate reports for decisionmaking
  • Resolving customer or resident questions and provide the proper resources
  • Assisting with social media planning, messaging, and management for events and programs
  • Attending Off Campus Life events and programs to generate social media content for current and future events
  • Creating a welcoming environment for all students, families, and visitors through positive interactions and engagement

Expected Salary:

$12.00 per hour


Minimum Requirements:


  • This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a parttime basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, dependability, and timeliness
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • This position may require availability for shift times on evenings and weekends
