Job Description

Electronics technicians for devices and systems are qualified for the production and maintenance of electronic components and devices due to their training. Typical areas of application include information and communication technology devices, medical devices, self-moving systems such as production machines or robots, system components, sensors, drives, microsystems, as well as measurement and testing technology.

They carry out these tasks independently, in compliance with relevant regulations and safety provisions, in manufacturing, quality assurance, development and testing workshops, and in the assembly of systems and equipment according to documents and instructions. They coordinate their work with upstream and downstream areas. They are qualified electrical specialists according to accident prevention regulations. The training is diverse, problem-oriented, and practical. Trainees participate in the creation of circuit diagrams, printed circuit boards, and system wiring.

Company Training

The company training takes place at the respective university facilities. It is supplemented by courses and training at the Vocational Training Center of RWTH Aachen University.

School Training

The school training takes place at the Vocational College for Design and Technology of the city of Aachen, Neuköllner Straße 15, 52068 Aachen.
