- Receives and understands food orders from the dining room and/or the manager on duty.
- Assists the other assigned personnel in the preparation of the requested food and to coordinate the orders for pick-up by the service staff.
- Prepares orders according to standard recipes in a proper, professional, and timely manner.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the workstations, kitchen area, walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Assures the production of the best quality possible in a proper sanitary and professional manner.
- Maintains the inventory of the workstations.
- Controls waste by monitoring proper rotation, storage and over production.
- Completes food safety program within 30 days of hire.
- Orders stock for the next day or the next shift, as required.
- Informs the Club Chef or Sous Chef on duty of any problems they may encounter during shift.
- Assists in providing breaks for other associates working the line, as necessary when advised.
- Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards.
- Works effectively with as a team with all departmental employees.
- Works variety of shifts, as needed to include night.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in food production is preferred.
- Must have basic knowledge of food production, as well as be familiar with standard food recipes.
- Previous experience in recommending, serving and knowledge of food recipes is highly recommended and preferred.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
- Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
- Must have the ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize and delegate in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively.
- Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in outdoor environment under inclement weather conditions if assigned to outside food outlets.
- Lifting, carrying or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 50% of shift.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of shift.
