- Preparation of tax workpapers and federal and state income tax returns for partnerships and corporations, focusing predominantly on real estate industry.
- Assist with the preparation of tax projections and federal and state estimated tax payments and extensions.
- Determine reasonableness and accuracy of book financial information by applying the principles of accounting to analyze the books and schedules prepared by SRG corporate, commercial, construction, and residential accounting departments.
- Interface with organizations controllers and accountants to discuss accounting issues, complex transactions, and required adjustments.
- Assist in the completion of the tax departments administrative needs, including preparation of correspondence, filing, scanning, copying, billing, vouchers, and other items as they arise.
- Organize and maintain tax records and databases.
- Correspond with taxing authorities to resolve tax notices.
- Perform tax research and proactively monitor federal and state legislative changes.
- Perform other duties, as needed.
- Uses strong analytical skills to synthesize and process complex and diverse information, gathers and researches data and uses logical reasoning in decision making.
- Identifies and resolves problems skillfully by analyzing, gathering data, and researching alternatives.
- Manages and coordinates projects, maintaining integrity of project plan and budget and communicating progress and changes to team members.

- Minimum of 2 years experience with partnership tax preparation at a CPA firm and a bachelors degree in accounting or related field years of related, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of real estate tax accounting and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency with income tax preparation program, preferably ProSystem fx Tax (Profx)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT - REMOTE (MUST BE BASED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA)
Job Summary:
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible to prepare federal and state income tax returns for partnerships (including LLCs) and corporations for in-house tax department within a private real estate developer company (SRG). This position also performs assignments such as tax projections, estimated tax payments, extensions, and some administrative tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has some supervisory responsibilities to review and/or supervise tax returns prepared by tax accountants.

Salary range is $43.27/hour - $60.10/hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location.
