Qualifications

We are looking for a skilled people-person with a compassionate spirit and an enthusiasm for working with
our memory care seniors

This person will have strong communication skills, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and a basic understanding of computer programs.

Responsibilities

Responsible for hosting daily activities

Responsible for transporting residents using community vehicles as needed

Educates, trains and encourages team members on activity opportunities

Meets and greets each resident upon move-in to welcome them and their family to the Community

Decorates the common areas for special events and holidays as needed

Takes attendance and photographs of daily activities

Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights

Attend training sessions as directed by supervisor

Other duties as assigned
Summary

The Activity Assistant - Memory Care position requires a compassionate individual with strong communication skills to assist in providing specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia.

Premium skills in event planning, assisted living, and memory care are essential for organizing and implementing engaging activities. Experience in nursing homes and a deep understanding of Alzheimer's care are highly valued. Knowledge of residents' rights, along with the ability to manage schedules and provide support in ADLs, is crucial. Computer skills are necessary for documentation and communication purposes. This role involves working closely with seniors, so a background in senior care and recreational therapy is beneficial. Additionally, familiarity with aging issues counseling and social work will enhance the quality of care provided to residents. A valid driver's license is required for transportation needs.


Pay:
$ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
