The State of New Hampshire, Commission on Aging has a part-time vacancy for a Communications & Engagement Director.

36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree

**Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in journalism, communications, public relations, advertising, consumer studies, public administration, public health, social work, or a related field.
Experience:
Five years of experience in communications, project management, social services or other relevant to program area, three years of which must have been in a management level position involving administrative or supervisory duties concerned with program administration, program planning and evaluation, business management or related management experience.
**OREducation:

Experience:
Six years of experience in communications, project management, social services or other relevant to program area, three years of which must have been in a management level position involving administrative or supervisory duties concerned with program administration, program planning and evaluation, business management or related management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in project management, social media marketing, and writing for print or online publications, grant proposals or other writing experience is preferred.
Website design and development skills preferred.Preferred Work Traits:
Ability to think strategically. Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to speak before public groups and legislative committees.
Interpersonal skills to develop effective and constructive working relationships with public officials, senior citizens, service providers, human service agencies and the public.
**Responsibilities: Oversees the Commission's statewide communications, and implements internal and external communication strategies to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the New Hampshire Commission on Aging.
Utilizes investigative, organizational and analytic skills as the Data Administrator for the Commission, implements, executes data mining projects, and creates reports, spreadsheets, and analytics.
Serves as a project lead for special tasks assigned by the Commission on Aging Executive Director; gathers data, researches information relevant to the project objectives, and prepares reports and presentations for administrative use.
Analyzes and tracks changes to rules, state/federal policies, procedures, and legislation for impacts to Commission initiatives and programs; assesses the implementation of changes through the development and administration of review and feedback mechanisms; develops relevant metrics, dashboards, and matrixes.
Develops content and manages the Commission on Aging's website and social media presence to communicate with customers statewide.
Explains and interprets relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines and presents and disseminate information to stakeholders. Prepares materials for presentations at administrative functions. Develops and updates outreach and guidance tools such as manuals, databases, surveys, training, and relevant communication materials.
Administers internal and external communications programs to ensure that unified, consistent and positive messages interpret and align with Commission's vision, mission, and values; prepares and coordinates newsworthy communications and events.
