Job DescriptionPosition: Operations Manager (Plant Manager)
Company Overview:
Strategic Business Consulting Services has partnered with a growing manufacturer in New Iberia who is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (Plant Manager) to oversee the day-to-day operations of our plant location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant management, with a proven track record of successfully managing a team and driving operational efficiency. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.
Manage and mentor a team of supervisors and production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Manage budget and expenses related to plant operations.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management or a similar role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and achieving results.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
