The Front of House Manager at Tokyo Steakhouse is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations and staff, including the execution of all policies, procedures, programs and systems, while maintaining a great attitude, and promoting a fun and motivating team atmosphere.
The FOH Manager is a confident, proactive and quick decision-maker who helps to support and motivate all team members on a daily basis to achieve company goals, exceed expectations and provide top-notch hospitality and dinner service.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Work to contribute to increasing sales goals year over year
- Interview applicants for selection in hiring, ensuring all positions are staffed, when and as needed, and labor cost objectives are met.
- Uphold rules and guidelines outlined in our onboarding package; Reinforce throughout the hiring, onboarding, training, coaching and evaluating for growth process.
- Be an effective coach, elevate the team for growth; assist team in reaching goals, provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
- Train and manage team members in a manner that
exceeds guest expectations and maximizes retention - Schedule labor as required by anticipating business levels
Operations:
- Monitor, reinforce and ensure that food safety procedures are executed according to policy and health/sanitation regulations
- Manage food, labor, material costs, and other controllable expenses
- Execute policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product and equipment
- Ensure team members have the right tools, knowledge & equipment required to do their jobs effectively
- Monitor inventory levels through ordering to ensure product availability
- Manage and maintain safe working conditions
- Anticipate and identify problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions
- Maintain efficient service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with quality standards
Qualifications:
- Neat, clean, professional appearance
- Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Willing to follow orders
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Exhibit a sense of urgency
- High level of confidence
- Very organized
- ServSafe Certification Preferred
- One year minimum prior restaurant experience
