EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER

Position Summary:
Coordinates the daily operations of hotel housekeeping and laundry services.


Essential Functions:

  • Meet with all relevant department heads and managers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department.
  • Monitor closely the condition and maintenance of all accommodation and public areas.
  • Order/purchase all related cleaning chemicals and materials.
  • Responsible for stock levels, stock taking, and control of linen room and uniform departments.
  • Hire, train, motivate department personnel. Conduct all performance appraisals.
  • Inspect guest's rooms after cleaning.
  • Train staff in appropriate use of supplies, cleaning agents, and equipment.
  • Conduct linen inventory.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guests special needs.
  • Administer guest lost and found program.
  • Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints concerning the Housekeeping Department.
  • Communicate room status changes to Front Desk.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, these contained in the employee handbook.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in training, supervising, and mentoring multicultural and multilingual staff.
  • Previous supervisory housekeeping experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
