- Contribute to developing process flows for new products and participate in Manufacturing Feasibility Reports.
- Determine machine parameters and tooling requirements for both new and existing products.
- Support the development and updating of process specifications and operation instruction sheets.
- Conduct capability studies on new and existing products and machinery to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce operational expenses.
- Develop procedures to optimize machine tooling efficiency.
- Manage capital projects related to production equipment.
- Adhere to daily guidelines of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
- Participate in CIT & Champion team activities, utilizing tools like 8D, DOE, and other quality improvement methodologies.
- Standardize machine tooling methods to reduce the cost of quality, such as reducing stockroom inventories.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for equipment testing and order expediting.
- Cultivate strong relationships with external suppliers to facilitate new product evaluation and development.
- Conduct training sessions on procedures, processes, and tooling enhancements.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Technical expertise in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Proficiency in mechanical design.
- Strong skills in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning.
- Ability to mentor and develop maintenance personnel.
- Willingness to assist other plants/facilities with technical issues.
- Capability to self-manage assigned project tasks.
