Laurel Pet Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technicianto join our outstanding team We are searching for a Veterinary technician who pays close attention to detail, has great communication skills, and will uphold our hospital's team player mentality.

Individuals who are committed to the veterinary field, work hard, and are eager to learn would be a great addition to our hospital's culture.

This is a full time position consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday-Saturday.


Requirements:

3+ years of current, hands-on veterinary experience:

• Takes pride in being punctual, dependable, and reliable
• Selfstarters who take initiative and pay close attention to detail
• Compassionate team players who have excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Excellent computer/technology skills
• Passion for veterinary medicine

Primary responsibilities:

• Taking patient histories
• Assisting in exams
• Anesthetic induction
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Dental prophy
• Dental radiology
• Injection and medication administration
• Gentle patient restraint
• Pharmacy duties
• Blood draws
• IVC placement
• Outpatient procedures
• Client service and communication
• Assisting the front desk as needed
• General hospital cleaning

Full time compensation and benefits:

• Compensation: $23 $27 hourly depending on experience
