Northrop Grumman's CIO/Space Systems is seeking a Software Development Analyst at its Redondo Beach, CA location. This position can be hired at the Principal Software Development Analyst or Sr. Principal Software Development Analyst (level 3 or level 4), depending upon the applicant's years of experience and education.

The qualified applicant will perform software development and maintenance tasks as a member of Software Development team, providing system support for engineering and manufacturing execution tools (MES) including Solumina.

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Directly support resolution of all software related problems within the MES production environment.
  • Gather requirements for engineering and manufacturing software support needs from business partners.
  • Perform various software engineering tasks involved in the entire SW development life cycle from requirements analysis up to software maintenance.
  • Support strategic planning of software tool usage through process development, automation and technology.
  • Support various enterprise initiatives and technology and data center uplifts.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related discipline and at least 5 years of related IT or Software Development experience OR 3 Years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
  • Proven experience with Embedded SQL Programing and programming in Java/C#
  • Must have the ability to provide occasional afterhours and weekend support as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance following hire.

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related discipline and at least 9 years of related IT or Software Development experience OR 7 Years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
  • Proven experience with Embedded SQL Programing and programming in Java/C#
  • Must have the ability to provide occasional afterhours and weekend support as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance following hire.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Application domain knowledge/experience with MES system
  • Solumina
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance is nice to have.

Salary Range:
$109,600 - $157,000


Salary Range 2:
$129,700 - $194,500

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
