Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible caregiver to join our team at Empaths Care in a per diem capacity.

As a caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, providing personal care, and offering companionship to clients.


Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transferring as needed, using proper techniques and equipment.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities.
• Monitor client's condition and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals and family members.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred. Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is considered an added bonus.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if required for the position).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
