What You'll Do:
- Learn how to inspect homes using special tools to find ways to reduce energy waste
- Check insulation, heating/cooling systems, windows, and appliances
- Suggest upgrades that save energy and money
- Help create healthier, safer, and more durable homes

Who Can Apply?
- Must be 18 or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Access to a computer and reliable transportation is a plus but not required (let us know if you need help)
- Must complete a placement test after applying
Program Details:
- Duration: 4 to 8 weeks depending on the session
- Location: Roxbury Community College, 1234 Columbus Ave, Roxbury, MA
- Schedule: Daytime classes and some evening Zoom sessions available

- Basics of building science and the house-as-a-system approach
- How heat, air, and moisture move through homes
- How to use energy auditing tools and techniques
- How to evaluate heating and cooling systems and insulation
- How to report your findings and suggest improvements
