As part of the Maple Grove Process Development team, this position's primary responsibilities include leading a team of process engineers in advancing new products, processes, and technologies across one or more divisions.
You will oversee the development and management of the people and processes required to ensure functional excellence and delivery of robust, scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes to divisional and operations customers.
You will provide strategic input into departmental, divisional, and BSC plant network initiatives.You will be tasked with building, developing, and empowering a strong team capable of fulfilling multi-project and multi-customer needs for the business.
This role will focus on building effective partnerships across functions and geographic locations to drive successful execution of key programs.
This role is focused on theLeft Atrial Appendage Closure
division of the Global Cardiology Group which continues to be an exciting growth driver for Boston Scientific.
This role will utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver next-generation concepts for life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSC's mission.
Key responsibilities:
Lead engineering teams to develop highly capable, scalable, and robust manufacturing processes, and successfully transfer into operations.
Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to create innovative and manufacturable product designs.
Develop detailed work plans, budgets, objectives, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Monitor & troubleshoot performance and schedule issues, support & enable team to achieve objectives.
Manages execution of the functional deliverables associated with the Product Development Process and Quality System.
Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple projects.
Deliver technical excellence for new product development.
Recruit, coach, develop organizational talent.
Create an inclusive, high-performance, entrepreneurial environment.
Demonstrate effective change leadership.
Build strategic partnerships and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to further departmental and organizational objectives.
Serves as a technical resource and provides on-going feedback and coaching to direct reports and PD project team.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
6+ years engineering experience
Minimum of 2 years managing and leading projects and team.
Preferred qualifications:
Ability to travel internationally up to 5%.
Master's degree in engineering or business discipline.
2+ years' experience as a leader of technical people.
Proven leadership and management of a technical group providing coaching and development.
Working knowledge of Boston Scientific therapies and products.
Experience leading teams throughout a product life cycle from exploratory to commercialization and end of life.
Class II or Class III Medical Device product development experience.
Access and Delivery Sheath product knowledge.
Cardiology clinical understanding.
