- Duties Include:
- Adhere to Kaiser Permanente's standards, laws, and regulations.
- Deliver patient care within your scope and as per physician's orders, with attention to age-specific requirements and established guidelines.
- Support medical staff in special procedures and exams.
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, alerting healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Administer medications and maintain equipment.
- Practice aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
- Oversee patient flow and supervise ancillary staff as needed.
- Offer medical information to patients and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and contribute to a variety of tasks as assigned.
- Patient Care Procedures:
- Explain procedures to patients and provide instructions on self-care.
- Review and discuss physician orders with patients.
- Assist patients with medical devices and first aid.
- Perform various treatments and maintain infection control standards.
- Handle emergency situations and monitor vital signs.
- Facilitate patient exams and tests, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Transportation:
- Escort patients to different areas and handle specimen and equipment transportation.
- Administrative/Clerical/Record Keeping:
- Manage medical records and appointments.
- Provide patient information, record keeping, and ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Answer calls, maintain supplies, and assist in various administrative tasks.
- Experience
- Minimum 1 year as a LVN in an acute/outpatient setting.
Education - N/A
- Vocational Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
- This position offers flexible start times within the shift and potential rotation across different modules within the organization.
