- Lead the development and implementation of automation strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Design and optimize automated systems to improve efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in automation technologies and best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers.
- Support and assist the maintenance and facilities team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures related to control systems.
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 5+ years of professional controls engineering experience.
- 5+ years of advanced PLC programming knowledge on Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent PLCs in a production environment.
- 5+ years of experience with plant applications such as MES, BMS, and others.
- Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting production equipment such as torque controllers, robotics, computer servers, testing equipment, and/or others.
- Software applications programming experience.
- Understanding of databases and various program languages (MySQL, Python, etc.).
- Proven project management experience.
- Proficient in working with and creating electrical diagrams and prints.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Master's degree in engineering or a related field
- Wide Experience supporting critical manufacturing.
- Experience in leading automation projects and teams.
- Experience launching new plant systems and their integration into the IT Infrastructure and Facilities.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automation, including safety.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Continuous learning mindset and a passion for innovation skills.
