Lead/Principal Electrical & ICA Engineer

Location:
Thames Water Region

Salary/Rate Guide:
£75,000 – £85,000 Plus Bonus, Car or Allowance and Package

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a significant proportion of Thames Water's AMP7 programmes of clean and wastewater non-infrastructure projects.

They are looking to recruit a Lead EICA Engineer for this key framework based from one of three Thames Water sites and with hybrid working also available.

You will be responsible for the technical leadership of the EICA discipline in the region, ensuring that the Electrical and ICA technical discipline is the right size and shape and has the correct competencies and capacity in the Thames Water region.

You will also ensure that the standard design practices are applied in region and contribute to the development of the discipline.

The responsibilities will include:
Provides technical leadership of the EICA discipline for the Thames Water region
Long term staffing/succession plans as well as training & development planning for the EICA discipline
Staff performance reviews/PDRs.
Application of strategic design philosophy for the EICA in discipline in the region.
Management of technical quality.
Task time requirements (estimates) in discipline in region.
Application of task delivery methods and toolsets in discipline in region
Allocation of best-fit, competent staff to projects in region.
The use of common, secure, information management systems in discipline in region.
Contributing to definition and implementing technical strategy.
Tactical technical risk in discipline in region.
Client relationships and service management.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Experience of technical design in a design-build environment.
Experience in the water treatment industry.
Experience in leading and managing design engineers.

Must be quality-driven with the ability to set targets, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.

Able to identify and manage project technical risk.
Experience of leading remote/geographically-dispersed teams.
Degree qualified in EICA related qualification/Chartered engineer
Relationship development and working with others to deliver results.
Technically focused.
BIM and digital delivery astute.
Drive for continuous improvement.
