The Facilities Manager will be in charge of keeping our dance studio running well (currently we have one location while we search for a new place to reopen our second location in Tempe/Phoenix).

The appearance and function of the studio will be the direct responsibility of the Facilities Manager. They will report to the studio coordinator/manager (who is virtual) and will interact with the owner, Stephanie as needed.

This role performs a wide range of studio care and support including but not limited to:

  • Keeping both studios supplied (soap, toilet paper, air filters)
  • Can respond to key emergencies (when the studio keys are missing and a client cannot get into the studio for their appointment)
  • Repairs minor issues at the studios such as drywall repair, paint touch ups, updating signage etc.
  • Performs a twiceweekly studio check with a list of items to maintain the standards of the business
  • Coordinates with the manager as issues arise at the business and manages individual improvement projects
  • Documents problems with the business systems and implements solutions
  • Creates and edits documents in Google Drive (familiar with sheets and docs)
  • Able to navigate a task or management system
Desired Skills

  • Very high standard for facilities. We want to find someone that cares as much about the studio as our community of dancers do. This is their artistic home and we want to provide a great environment
  • Demonstrates a professional, positive, caring, and confident manner
  • Has basic handy person skills such as: small drywall jobs, painting, installing things like new interior door handles etc. If skill is not already known, can educate themselves to get it done
  • Shows high integrity and wanting to do the right thing
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Is selfmotivated, high energy, and passionate about their work
  • Anticipates the needs of others and provides solutions to any issue
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Is able to communicate effectively

Hours:
~2+ hours a week. Checking on the studio two times a week is required. You must have your own reliable transportation to visit Mesa. Once at the beginning of the week and once around the weekend. [Schedule is flexible but at least 2 days a week the studios will be inspected and improved]. If emergencies come up, they must be handled asap (hopefully within 24 hours). Anytime you plan to be away from the area needs to be disclosed a week in advance because you are the main person on site for any issues that may come up.


Pay:
$30-45 per hour


Minimum Requirements:

  • US Work Authorization
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Some G Suite Experience
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Smart Phone
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladder as needed
  • Love of dance is a plus
