Office of Student Services for the
Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.

The Medical ACCESS Specialist provides Project ACCESS support services.


Qualifications:


  • Associate/Bachelor's Degree in general field _preferred_.
  • 13 years of experience in any specialized area required as part of the job functions
  • Expertise (includes one or more of the following):
  • Professional approach to their work that includes very strong customer service skills.
  • Specialized skills in area to be able to work autonomously as proven through work experience.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to use computer technology efficiently proficiency in using all MS Office products.
  • Must be a proficient typist; must know how to format business correspondence/reports.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to work effectively with people.
  • Ability to problem solve and use technology to gain information and communicate with others.
  • Ability to work under stress and with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to schedule time to meet deadlines, to communicate effectively, and to read and analyze written and verbal information.
  • Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI

Responsibilities:


  • Review and process ACCESS entries for assigned clients via the Sivics Solutions Group MAXCapture system, ensuring all student and provider information is entered correctly and in a timely manner for processing of claims.
  • Ensure client staff are capturing all billing as documented in the system.
  • Maintain working knowledge of ACCESS program requirements, state and federal regulations, by attending trainings and meetings of the Eastern PAIU ACCESS Coordinator's Group and the Montgomery County School District ACCESS group.
  • Provide trainings within and outside of the county for end users and ACCESS administrators.
  • Continually maintain and enhance customer relations with client administrative staff, support staff, and contracted providers of the ACCESS program.
  • Maintain student and therapist rosters for billing thru MAXCapture.
  • Maintain and implement clients Random Moment Time Study program on a quarterly basis, including staff lists and daily staff notifications. Ensure quarterly goal of minimum 85% compliance is met for each client.
  • Ensure continued congruence between student and ACCESS data by analyzing information and reports on a monthly basis in an effort to grow clients ACCESS program. Process results of analysis and communicate with clients.
  • Maintain detailed tracking for all required paperwork for ACCESS billing, including but not limited to IEP Physician signoffs, signed parental consents, HIPAA notifications, provider certifications etc. Ensure certifications for providers are kept current in the system.
  • Monthly review of Exception reports to ensure timely processing of claims. Review and analyze Monthly Management Reports for accuracy and any processing issues.
  • Ensure files are maintained in orderly manner and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide Annual IEP ratio reporting for clients.
  • Responsible for special project requests from clients.
  • Ensure clients are utilizing programing for maximum benefit and potential; make recommendations when deemed appropriate.
  • Serve as backup to other staff members as needed.
  • Actively model the mission, values, and operating principles of the MCIU.

Location:

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA.


Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7 hours/day, 12 months days/year)


Salary:

$27.41/hour - $32.25/hour
