The Supply Technician (property book level) is responsible for conducting logistical operations for 82nd CLS in supply accountability and asset visibility procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process.
The Supply Technician should be certified and fully proficient with the Global Combat Supply System-Army (GCSS-Army).The Supply Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day activities by using organizational resources to determine best practices for program execution and make decisions in accordance with the contracted work statement.
The Supply Technician is responsible for maintaining high leadership standards and technical expertise to deliver best customer service.ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Works with a framework of established supply regulation, policies, and procedures an in the resolution of issues encountered in the processConducts maintenance of historical files, Administrative Adjustment Reports, receipt, issue, and transfer documentsEnsure that all authorized assets listed in the Modification Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) and Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) are on hand or on a valid requestExecutes property transfer, receipt, storage, and issue activities (including but not limited to posting and editing documentation within all appropriate STAMISEnsure that all assets disposition instructions are executed in a timely mannerValidates and ensures material readinessAble process Propose Sourcing Decisions (PSD) and having a general understanding of the Decision Support Tool system.
Performs analysis of equipment on-hand requirements (Class II, III, IV, V, and VII)Request, receipt, storage, issue, accountability and the preservation of individual, organizational installation, facilities and expendable/durable property and equipmentReceive, inspect inventory, load unload, segregate, store, issue, deliver and turns-in organization and installation property and equipmentInspect completed transactions/work for accuracy and compliance with established policy and proceduresReview and annotates changes to the unit material condition status reportValidate/post transactions to organizational and installation property records and updates/maintains supporting document filesDetermine required method of relief from responsibility for lost, damaged and destroyed property/equipment itemsEstablish property and inventory control management functions IAW current policy/procedure directivesMaintain property and equipment under GCSS-Army at the until and property book levelsReview daily and monthly records of all property and equipment transactions including petroleum products, unit/organizational basic/combat loads and operating suppliesReconcile all local purchase transactions for fiscal/property accountingEnsure weapons/sensitive item inventories are conducted IAW current regulatory procedureProvide technical assistance to unit/organizational equipment and records parts specialist.
Assist and advise supply officer and company commanderAnalyze statistical data and reports to ascertain trends, conformance to standards and directives and efficiency of operationsReview all authorized documents periodicallyRequisitions material to meet mission requirementsConducts inventories including preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulationsEnsures compliance with all properly authenticated directives within established guidelinesIdentifies equipment status to include completeness, serviceability, and accountabilityPerforms other duties as assigned per team chief/supervisor to meet organizational/operational objectivesReview technical aspects of unit and property book records per AR Performing in both manual and automated unit and property book levels accounting environments with the related functions associated with accurate property accountabilityEnsures compliances with appropriate regulations, forms and procedures pertaining to unit and property book levels hand receipts and other property accounting documentsProvide services in support of asset requisition, receipt, short-term holding, inventory, issue, redistribution, classification and turn-in; maintaining hand receipts/annexes, property book adjustment reports, reconciliations, serial number tracking and unique item trackingMaintains all historical files, supporting documents and other required records; ensuring all files are stored IAW the Army Records Information System (ARIMS) Administrative Adjustment Reports, receipt, issue, and transfer documents.
Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirementsMATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones. Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, any other pertinent software and general office equipment.
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.
Use of Government Furnished vehicle.
Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold weather conditions.
Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work may require to lift up to 50 pounds, stooping, climbing and prolonged standing and/or sitting.
Physical requirements include lifting, climbing stairs and extended sitting or standing.

Secret Security Clearance required.
Global Combat Support System
Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Installation.
EXPERIENCE:
Three years experience on supply operations at the unit/property book levelMust have technical experience and comprehensive knowledge of Government regulations, policies, procedures and instructions from the Team Chief/SupervisorMust have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned propertyAbility to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levelsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environmentCapacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlinesExcellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast paced environmentSpecific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable
