- Manage multiple RFPs for multiple clients public and private.
- Utilize HCSS Software, Heavybid and Heavyjob to build estimates.
- Manage the proposal process from conception to presentation.
- Read and understand job bid instructions, plans, specifications, proposals, and contracts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Analyze estimates from subcontractors and suppliers to review for accuracy and negotiate favorable pricing.
- Represent Richards Corporation at Pre-Bid Meetings.
- Solicit subcontractor and material pricing, specific to each project. Review all incoming pricing for accuracy and completeness. Maintain relationships with our key subcontractor and supplier partners.
- Accurately take-off and quote self-performed work: sitework, Concrete and general trades scopes.
- Understand the unique requirements of each of our clients and propose on the projects accordingly.
- Prepare overall project schedules in Primavera or Microsoft Project as the project requires.
- Work in a dynamic team environment to transition awarded projects to the operation and accounting staff seamlessly.
- Review estimated vs actual costs throughout the life cycle of project and adapt.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an estimator of similar types of projects.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and leadership abilities.
- Flexible, well organized, detail oriented and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience with MS Office/Excel/Word/Outlook, Primavera or MS Project required.
- Must be able to learn HeavyBid and HeavyJob software.
