Job purpose

Baebies is looking for a Senior Accountant to assist in maintaining financial records and to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded. This role will help ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. The Senior Accountant role will work with the Vice President of Finance to prepare an accurate, reconciled balance sheet for the company. Additionally this role will oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. The position will report to the Vice President of Finance and work closely with our Customer Support, Operations, and Purchasing.

This position is a hybrid on-site and work from home, with on-site requirement during initial phase of on-boarding, approximately 6 months.

Duties and responsibilities

Primary job responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

Managing the day-to-day accounting process and general ledger.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Process vendor invoices, manage accounts payable and manage vendor payment cycle.
Process credit card transactions and expense report reimbursement.
Oversite of the accounts receivable processes, including statement, invoice, and credit memo processing.
Manage Sales and Use Tax and state registrations in partnership with Avalara.
Provide support as needed for fixed asset and property tax reporting, as well as process improvement with internal tracking of fixed assets.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed.
Take on ad-hoc departmental projects as needed and support process improvement.
