    Summary:
    The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage all accounting operations for the manufacturing facility. This includes financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, audits, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have proven manufacturing accounting experience and be able to drive process improvements.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to GAAP
    • Develop and monitor cost accounting systems to track costs of goods manufactured
    • Analyze manufacturing overhead costs and ensure proper allocation to products
    • Prepare budgets and forecasts related to production volumes and costs
    • Monitor inventory and cost of goods sold, investigate variances
    • Develop and document processes/controls for inventory cycle counts
    • Assist with year-end audits and provide supporting documentation
    • Generate reports and metrics to measure manufacturing performance
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-reduction strategies
    • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards
    • May supervise accounting staff members
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 5+ years of accounting experience, manufacturing industry exposure required
    • Advanced Excel skills required
    • ERP and cost accounting software experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
    • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate processes and data
    • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles
    • CPA or CMA certification preferred
    • Manufacturing/Production environment knowledge is strongly preferred
    The Senior Accountant will play a key role in providing accurate financial reporting and analysis for the manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.
