    Senior Accountant - Dayton, OH

    Seeking a Senior Accountant to take on a central role in maintaining precise financial records, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations, and offering crucial support in financial reporting and analysis. This position typically reports to the Controller and collaborates closely with other members of the accounting team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and scrutinize financial statements in line with GAAP standards, guaranteeing accuracy and adherence to regulations.
    2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Aid in crafting annual budgets and forecasts, supplying valuable insights and recommendations to management.
    3. Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and performance assessments to pinpoint trends, opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
    4. Internal Controls: Establish and uphold internal control procedures to protect company assets and uphold financial integrity.
    5. Tax Compliance: Manage and assist tax compliance efforts, including tax return preparation and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities.
    6. Process Improvement: Identify prospects for streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency, steering continuous improvement endeavors within the finance domain.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, encompassing hands-on involvement in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
    • Sound grasp of GAAP principles, financial regulations, and compliance requisites.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
    • Exceptional analytical prowess, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
