Shop Mill Lead & Programmer

Location:
Houston, Texas 77070

Pay rate:
$30-33

We are a midsize machine shop, in business for over 20 years, located in northwest Houston, seeking a shop CNC mill lead operator/programmer.

Our company manufactures products for the oil and gas industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise CNC machinists and indirect production personnel
Interview and recommend personnel for shop positions
Train new employees in quality methods, inspection procedures, and machine operations
Plan and schedule mill shop production, assign tasks, and monitor employee workmanship
Accurately quote lead times and machining costs for potential customer orders
Ensure proper tooling needs prior to production
Ensure a low scrap rate
Must be proficient in CNC lathe machine operations, extensive experience is a plus
Must be proficient in Mastercam to program all new incoming jobs from specs and/or drawings
Perform any additional job duties as assigned by the shop owner
Maintain a clean and orderly shop

SKILLS:

Ability to provide energetic team leadership and motivation, promoting continual improvement
Ability to communicate effectively with all employees, management, customers, and vendors
Ability to problem solve quickly and professionally
Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel), strong organizational skill
Speak, read, and write English

EXPERIENCE:

10+ CNC mill machining, Mazak & Haas a plus
5+ Mastercam programming
5+ Management

Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 6:30-4:30, Friday: 6:30-2:30, Saturday: As needed

$ $33.00 per hour
