Departmental Objective

The mission of the Ferguson Center for the Arts is to enhance and enrich the cultural development and awareness of the University and its constituents in the region by offering costeffective, diverse and superior cultural experiences, delivered with the highest level of service.
Purpose of the Position
This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position
Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies
Basic computer skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students
Ability to work a flexible shift and weekend hours as needed
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required

Experience:
Experience in cleaning methods and cleaning supplies. Experience using a vacuum cleaner.
Additional Consideration(s)

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Demonstrated experience as a housekeeping worker in a college/university or hotel setting.
