Summary


Under the direction of Director is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising the exercise for cardiac rehab patients.

Evaluates Phase I patients, and Phase II cardiac rehab patients. Develops supervised exercise and prepared progress reports for physicians. Organizes and instructs clinics or exercise related classes.

This includes Cardiovascular Health screens, 6 minute walk test, Health Assessment, Individual Treatment Plans, exercise testing, risk factor education and consultation.

Education

As of Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the area of Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field. Prior to , degrees accepted at time of hire will continue to be accepted.

Licensure/Certification


As of Certification by ACSM as an "Exercise Physiologist" or "Clinical Exercise Physiologist" or must obtain within the first year of employment.

Prior to , certifications at time of hire will be accepted. A change from a previous certification to ACSM "Exercise Physiologist" or "Clinical Exercise Physiologist" will also be accepted. Must have current CPR Certification. Must be blood pressure and heart rate monitor certified which may be done through on the job training.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
