We are seeking experienced professional to join our healthcare team as an Intake Coordinator.

Some responsibilities include:


  • Effectively document patient demographics, pertinent medical history and insurance information in the patient Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Upload new patient referrals and worksheet into EMR.
  • Track pending and accepted patient referrals
  • Verify and analyze Medicare Eligibility and other payers
  • Handle high call volume communicating with referral sources, patients and field staff
  • Obtain required documentation from referral sources prior to patient admission
  • Contact field personnel such as nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and home health aides and schedule appropriately skilled persons to staff the case.
  • Greet all visitors entering the office

  • EMR Experience
  • Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages including Word and Excel

  • Must have exemplary accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Outgoing and a positive outlook
  • Highest integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling job requirements, able to accept constructive feedback and use it in a positive manner
  • Excellent attendance/reliability

Experience
:
Health care scheduling or intake experience.
