    Description
    BGE Inc. is seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our Jacksonville, FL office, providing surveying services for our growing firm.

    Job Responsibilities

    :

    Basic knowledge and understanding of plans and maps (i.e., construction, site plans, boundary/plats, and roadway plans)
    Supervise and direct field staff on a variety of standard types of surveys
    Train field support staff in the use and application of a Robotic Total Station, Data Collectors, GPS Receivers, and Sensors/Scanners
    Perform and/or check lot, area, and intersection (bearing-bearing, distance-distance, bearing-distance) computations.

    Keep, reduce, and check (for completeness and accuracy) field notes for standard surveying operations (i.e., leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, layout, as-built, boundary, etc.)


    Maintain the calibration of the equipment being used
    Enforce Company safety procedures and policies for survey field operations
    Other duties as assigned
    Job Requirements:

    High School Diploma or equivalent or specialized vocational training
    5+ years of survey experience
    Valid driver's license
    Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    Work outside for 8-10 hours a day
    Ability to walk 2 miles per day
    Preferred:

    Knowledge of Trimble equipment and products
    Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) experience
    Occasional overnight travel to support Florida area projects
