Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our food service operations.

The General Manager is responsible and accountable for all activities while on duty and acts as a coach to all team members.

As the General Manager, you will work closely and lead the rest of management to ensure all activities are consistent with and supportive of HHC.

The General Manager will also ensure all team members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations.


Job Expectations:


The General Manager performs leadership, management, and organizational tasks while supervising team members, monitoring performance to ensure the team is complying with policies set forth by the company as well as delegate tasks appropriately.

General Managers
MUST be cross trained in all FOH, BOH, and managerial procedures.


Duties:


  • Create and publish schedules.
  • Final say in staff decisions (hiring and firing).
  • Follow and enforce rules, direction, and procedures outlined in the HHC training program.
  • Complete bank deposits daily by 5 PM.
  • Provide petty change for cash drawers.
  • Create and maintain logs for all procedures in the restaurant (temperature, safe, change, cleaning, etc.,).
  • Be performance and detail oriented/driven and understand performance expectations.
  • Refrain from insubordination by following rules and regulations given forth by management. If insubordination happens towards a General Manager, alert other management as soon as possible.
  • Communicate with director of operations regarding extra training, questions, and other practice needs for themselves.
  • Facilitate all additional training, questions, and other practices that have been requested by other team members.
  • Communicate with team members and management to resolve interpersonal issues or questions about procedures as needed.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment including but not limited to: ice cream machine, lemonade machine(s), pressure/open bay fryers, crispers, warmers, steam tables, etc.
  • Ensure the store is clean at all hours of operation by delegating bussing/cleaning tables, bathroom cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors, washing/sanitizing/disinfecting kitchen equipment/utensils, and high touch point areas.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy appearance by wearing a uniform provided by HHC and adhering to the HHC Uniform Policy.
  • Ensure the team is being led to provide guests with a product that meets company standards by following standard operating procedures and training procedures.
  • Organize shift positions to ensure the best workflow and monitor attendance/tardiness.
  • Provide direction, supervision, and feedback to maintain high levels of productivity and morale among the team.
  • Communicate team member performance and appropriately address performance issues.
  • Train new and current team members.
  • Delegate midday and/or closing shift change procedures (reset line, cash drawer procedures).
  • Establish and maintain an environment where team members feel comfortable and want to come back to work. This is done by creating trust and keeping an open line of communication with the team.
  • Be a role model and set positive examples for the entire team.
  • Follow all standards regarding food, prep procedures, cost control, labor, etc.
  • Ensure orders that pertain to FOH/BOH are being completed in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Highschool diploma or GED.
  • 34 years of restaurant experience.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, opening/closing shifts.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to bend and stoop.
  • Ability to lift 5075 lbs.
  • Ability to work in close quarters and around heat.
  • Positive attitude with conducting all duties.
  • Communicate with other team members and management.
  • Have time management, delegation, and problemsolving skills to ensure all duties are completed.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Suite.

Transportation & Accessibility:


  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a phone or other reliable methods of communication with other team members and direct supervisor.
