    Default job background
    Description
    Organization:

PICA is seeking a forward-thinking fundraiser and dynamic community builder to join the organization's leadership team as our new Director of Development.

This role is a key leader for PICA in developing, nurturing, and managing institutional and individual relationships, communicating our value to the community, acting as a primary connector between our staff and board of directors, and leading our fundraising efforts to secure individual, corporate, and other philanthropic support for PICA's mission - to acknowledge and advance new developments in contemporary art while fostering the creative explorations of artists and audiences.

PICA is a $1.5 - 2M organization with a year-round staff of more than 10, a board of directors with members, a more than 15,000 sq ft facility, and a wider network of seasonal staff, interns, volunteers, and community members. Individual and corporate contributions account for one-third of our total revenue. This position will be pivotal in evolving our fundraising approach with these conditions in mind and leading our team to co-create more equitable, just, and community-centric approaches in fundraising and arts non-profit work at large.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is excited to put their storytelling skills to use to support a diverse array of artists and their projects, to play a key role in building a more just working culture and arts community, and to activate our contemporary art space as a community hub.
