Job Overview:
The Supply Finance Manager Strategic Programs is a key role within Diageo North America Supply's strategy team.

Our focus is on building the supply chain of our future - delivering against our pillars of growth, sustainability, resiliency, and cost optimization.

This position will report to the L4 Supply Finance Director - Strategic Programs and work in partnership with the Supply Strategy and Program Management team.

This is a project based role, which is expected to support the team until H1 F27.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Long term scenario modeling and financial thought leadership to facilitate Diageo's North America supply chain strategy to deliver Diageo's new and bold longterm growth ambitions
  • Opportunity evaluation for various supply chain solutions to deliver optimized cost and margin for the growth ambitions across Diageo's supply chain
  • Programs to include new suppliers, internal investments across existing and new production facilities, introduction of new third party partnerships, or distribution centers
  • Collaborate with business functions to ensure timely delivery of supply chain initiatives. Analyze for risks and opportunities and work with partners to overcome barriers.
  • Lead financial process execution and financial reporting of strategic supply chain programs. Project benefit analysis, CAPEX and OPEX reporting.
  • Lead all aspects of costing and variance analysis of delivered programs through handoff to business divisions.
  • Lead through the high level of complexity to align a focused and clear plan:


  • Procurement

  • Ensure our sourcing strategy aligns with our supply chain footprint transformation to drive long term productivity and continuity.


  • Manufacturing

  • Navigate highly constrained environment while improving our continuity plans and growth ambitions.
  • Partner with the manufacturing team to investigate various filling capacity unlocks for internal sites and CAPEX recommendations.


  • Planning and Logistics

  • Partner with team to develop an optimized route to market connection with the manufacturing strategy to deliver the right product mix to the right distribution points.

Location:


Based in one of our existing NAM Supply Network locations, Kentucky or Illinois preferred with travel as needed to other supply locations.


Experience and Skills required:

  • 7+ years experience in various roles demonstrating increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong financial analysis competence, including ability to distill complex issues into a financial analysis to support decision making or vice versa ability to take limited information and still develop financial perspective to support decision making.
  • Supply cross functional experience. Financial assessment of end to end manufacturing network projects and associated cost structures is important to guide the right conversations.
  • Solid accounting knowledge.
  • Experience in handling budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to engage, handle and influence senior customers across the organization.
  • Ability to influence and build alignment cross functionally and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change. (every day in this role will be different)

Skills to be developed:

  • Mastery in financial analysis modeling. To develop accurate business proposals for future investments including NPV analysis, Return-OnInvestment, and the associated risk analysis.
  • Critical thinking and 5+ year strategic glidepath work
  • Experience in Supply Network design and optimization
  • Change management and project management experience
  • Validated ability to effectively operate as finance leader in a setting with multiple senior business partners (L4 and up)
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to succes
