Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist that has a current Current AWS CWI certification.


Pay range:
$34.03-$36.16


Hours:
(Morning)

Mon-Thurs 6:30am - 3:00pm Fri 5:00am - 1:30pm


Responsibilities:


  • Participates in the process of continuous improvement of the company's manufacturing operations.
  • Conducts quality audits to ensure systems are sound and supported.
  • Assists Purchasing department with supplier quality issues.
  • Assists engineering and service with customer quality issues.
  • Assists with customer audits.
  • Maintains inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and the like.
  • Possesses strong problem solving skills.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of process improvement and data tracking (e.g. KPI's, SPC, Lean, etc.).
  • Able to read shop drawings and interpret weld symbols.
  • Able to inspect welds per AWS D1.1 section 5.23 for weld profiles and section 6.9 for visual inspection acceptance criteria.
  • Able to inspect manufactured or purchased components per the drawing or other specification.
  • Assists in the investigation of nonconformance and determines root cause.
  • Performs nondestructive testing utilizing ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant.

Requirements:


Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams
