- Designing and implementing embedded software/firmware for different platforms.
- Collaborating with Electrical Engineers to create hardware solutions.
- Integrating and testing software/firmware on hardware.
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues related to software/firmware.
- Working closely with cross-functional team members.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Engaging with customers to gather requirements and provide updates.
- Bachelor's degree with at least five (5) years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded system design, analysis, and testing.
- Knowledge of System Engineering principles.
- Proficiency in C/C++, VHDL, and/or Verilog.
- Experience with Xilinx's FPGA and Development Suites.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Experience in PCB design using various tools.
- Knowledge of MATLAB for data manipulation and visualization.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development using Vivado or Quartus.
- Creating and executing test plans for electronic subsystems.
- Experience with soldering and circuit debugging.
- Lab experience with oscilloscopes, function generators, and network analyzers.
- Familiarity with marine hardware like ROVs, UUVs, sonar, and transducers.
- Proficiency in National Instruments (NI) products and embedded operating systems.
- Experience with device drivers and communication protocols.
- Understanding technical standards and protocols for electronic devices.
