Description
- Prior experience in serving as FAA Quality Engineering support in the role of Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Quality Control (QC) for complex and extensive programs and systems, knowledge of FAA AMS, procurements of large NAS systems, and all relevant orders, guidelines, and specifications.
- Experience in procurement activities related to large and complex Government systems and the implementation and deployment of FAA and/or DOD NAS systems.
- Experience as the FAA Quality Representative Officer (QRO) for a substantial program is highly desirable.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as one member of the systems engineering support team for the FAA in support of a radar replacement program.
- Participating in meetings and planning sessions with other government organizations in support of the program.
- Providing all systems engineering related functions and any artifacts in support of all FAA activities related to the deployment of the replacement radar system into the NAS
Qualifications
- A BA/BS in a technical field, to include but not limited to: engineering, math, physics, chemistry, biology, meteorology/earth sciences, aeronautical science, computer science, decision science, instructional system design, management/computer information systems, aviation/information technology, information assurance, aeronautics, human factors/psychology, air traffic control/management, etc. is required. An additional five years' experience may be substituted for the degree stated.
- A minimum of 10 years related experience providing configuration management, quality assurance and/or quality control support to the FAA. Prior experience as an FAA Quality Representative Officer is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval and security requirements.
- Some travel may be required.
